# Troubleshooting Guide

Browser and plugin settings to check first when something on Steady doesn't work

If you have problems when using Steady, please check the following settings **in your browser** and installed plugins:

-   Cookies must be enabled for the domain [www.steadyHQ.com](https://steady.page/)
    
-   The setting “clear local data when you quit your browser” (or similar) must be disabled.
    
-   JavaScript must be enabled in your browser.
    
-   If you want to enable JavaScript only for specific connections and want to pay by credit card, you must allow a connection to Braintree. Braintree is Steady's payment service provider for credit card payments.
    

If problems persist, check if your browser plugins (e.g. NoScript) or tools (e.g. CC-Cleaner) have similar settings that also must be disabled.
