# Where do I find my Steady page and URL?

Where to find your Steady page, how to choose its address – and what happens if you change it later

**Your Steady page lives at an address like _steady.page/yourproject_.** To open it, go to **Home** in your backend and click **Your project page** at the top. The address is then shown in your browser.

## Choosing your address

A new project starts with an automatically created address. You can replace it with your own address once:

1. Go to [Settings → Project Settings](https://steady.page/backend/publications/default/settings/edit).

2. Enter the address you want in **Your project's URL address**.

3. Click **Save URL** and confirm.

> **Tip:** **Our tip:** Choose carefully – after saving, you can't change the address yourself. Pick something short that matches your project name and is easy to say out loud.

## Changing your address later

Once you've saved your own address, only our support team can change it. If you need a new one, [contact us](https://steady.page/contact) and we'll change it for you.

**Please note:** we can't set up redirects. Links with your old address stop working, so share your new link wherever you used the old one – e.g. on your website, your social media profiles and in your newsletter.

Changing your project name doesn't change your address. See [Renaming your Steady project](https://help.steady.page/en/articles/6265680.md).

## Showing your page in a specific language

Steady shows its own texts on your page, such as buttons, in each visitor's language: the language they picked on Steady, or otherwise their browser language. If you want everyone to see the same language, add a language code to your link:

- _steady.page/de/yourproject_ for German

- _steady.page/en/yourproject_ for English

- _fr_, _it_ or _pt_ for French, Italian or Portuguese

Your own texts, such as your project description and plan names, aren't translated automatically. They always appear as you entered them. To learn which language Steady uses for emails to your members, see [What is my project language?](https://help.steady.page/en/articles/6265719.md)
