# Renaming your Steady project

How to rename your project and update your email sender name – and why your page address stays the same

**You can rename your project at any time.** Your project name is used in several places on Steady – for example, it's automatically included in the emails your members receive.

1.  Go to [Settings → Project Settings](https://steady.page/backend/publications/default/settings/edit).
    
2.  Enter the new name in **Project name** (up to 60 characters).
    
3.  Click **Save**.
    

## Update your email sender name

If you send posts by email, also update the sender name. You change it in a post's email settings, where you see **From** and **Reply-To**. Steady remembers the sender you used last, so once you've changed it, the new name is used for all upcoming posts.

## Your address stays the same

Renaming your project doesn't change the address of your Steady page (e.g. _steady.page/yourproject_). To learn how to choose or change your address, see [Where do I find my Steady page and URL?](https://help.steady.page/en/articles/6265708.md)
