Below you’ll find the **optimal size and a ready-to-use template for each image type**, from your logo to your paywall and announcement layers.

## Three ways to get your image

## How to use a Canva template

1.  Open the template for the image type you need — the links are in the table above and in each section below.
    
2.  In Canva, click **“Use template”**. You automatically get your own copy — the Steady original stays untouched.
    
3.  Customise the text, colours and images. The dimensions are already set correctly, so there’s nothing to resize.
    
4.  Download the image as PNG or JPG and upload it in the matching spot in your Steady backend.
    

## Templates by image type

### Logo

-   **Required** · optimal size: 600×600 px
    
-   Appears at the top of your Steady page and serves as a fallback elsewhere — for example, on your podcast when no cover art is uploaded, or in the small paywall.
    
-   Without a logo, a generic default appears instead, which isn’t ideal for your brand recognition.
    
-   Upload it under **Your logo** in [Settings → Project Settings](https://steady.page/backend/publications/default/settings/edit).

### Hero image

-   **Optional** · optimal size: 2048×512 px (4:1 ratio)
    
-   Shown at the top of your Steady page. If you don’t upload one, no image is displayed there.

-   There’s no dedicated Canva template for the post teaser yet. You can open the hero image template and change the size to 800×450 px in Canva.
    

## Prefer working in Figma?

All templates are also available as a single file in the [Figma Community](https://www.figma.com/community/file/1551203760905267096). Here’s how it works:

1.  Open the link and click **“Open in Figma”** — the file is duplicated into your free Figma account automatically. Your edits only affect your own copy.
    
2.  Customise the frames. The file deliberately uses standard fonts so it looks the same on every machine.
    
3.  Export the frames as PNG and upload them in your Steady backend.
